Recovery Act and System Alleviation Notice
Due to the expected increase in system activity resulting from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has authorized steps to alleviate system strain and quickly increase system capacity. The OSDBU Council is an informal organization of Federal small business program officials that comes together monthly to exchange and discuss information on acquisition methods, issues and strategies; small business program initiatives and processes; and small business related outreach events that permit their respective agencies to increase their utilization of small businesses as prime and subcontractors to meet their annual requirements for services and goods.

San Francisco, CA -- BDPA's National Board of Directors (NBOD) unanimously approved the charter for our BDPA Hampton Roads Chapter, Saturday February 7, 2009. Stakeholder communities in Virginia's Tidewater region include Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and Yorktown. BDPA-DC Students Capture $125,000 in Scholarships & Internships
2008 marked a record year for BDPA-DC student member achievements. Last November, the Washington, D.C. Chapter honored all students during its 30th Anniversary Gala and Annual Awards Reception.
The Chapter's High School Computer Competition (HSCC) Team captured its second consecutive Second-Place Trophy in Atlanta, last year during the National and final HSCC rounds. From the Nation's Capital, each participant took home the Silver Medal along with $2,000 in Bemley Scholarships towards the college of their choice.
