How the BDPA can benefit from Pepsi Refresh Project

Pepsi Corporation is giving away millions of dollars to refresh our community. The Pepsi Refresh Project (www.refresheverything.com) is looking to fund good ideas, big and small, that make our community a better place.

What's a good idea???  Who gets  a Pepsi Refresh Grant....They want YOU to decide.

Pepsi is asking individuals, businesses, and non-profits to submit their ideas/projects/visions to a national website...then YOU the general public decide who gets funded by way of an online popularity contest.

Every month Pepsi will accept up to a 1,000 ideas/proposals and then the public will have 30 days to vote.  The Pepsi Refresh Grants will come in the form of multiple denominations; $5k, $25k, $50k, $250k.

Now beyond the obvious; BDPA chapter events, or High School Computer Competition....Here is a change to partner with a recognized brand and reenergize your local chapter.

Let's say a local school, or tech center has been supporting your chapter and HSCC events....submit them as a good idea and ask your community to vote in the Pepsi Refresh Project.  This will serve two purposes; 1. mobilize your chapter and  2. Popularize the BDPA brand.

We as a professional member organization with thousands of community-minded people, should be taking full advantage this opportunity.  The BDPA is about volunteerism and community empowerment....I know we're full of good people with good ideas.
