The Event Description: The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (Airports Authority) in cooperation with the District's Department of Small & Local Business Development is hosting a BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY EVENT to inform qualified LDBE, DBE & CBE vendors of an upcoming requirement, and provide them with an opportunity to meet staff from the Airports Authority.
 
Description: The Contractor shall provide information systems operational support to the Airports Authority to include requirements analysis, evaluation, design, development, selection, implementation, operation, and maintenance of the technology infrastructure and applications used throughout the Airports Authority.
 
Date, Time & Location: Friday, March 27th, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 p. m.

 Hosted by the Department of Small & Local Business Development
 
Estimated Dollar Value: $4,000,000 - $6,000,000 annually
 
Purpose: To inform interested vendors and obtain feedback prior to issuing a Request For Proposal (RFP) to select a firm to provide Information Technology (IT) Support Services for the Airport Authority. This action will ensure continuity of services when the existing contract term expires in July 2009.
 
Project Type: The proposed contract is divided into two major areas of technical support. The first is Base Services which provides the Airports Authority with support in the following areas:



· IT Help Desk                                                
· Network Administration
· Server Administration
· Database Administration
· Workstation Support
· Web Services
· IT Application Training
· Application Analysis
· Programming, and
· Information Security Services


The second major support area is Supplemental Services, which will be provided on an as-needed basis, resources to support unpredictable requirements and the implementation of new products and major upgrades to all Airport Authority business systems.
