BDPA and LISTA nurture trusted relationships within the Department of Labor and Federal agencies providing economic development opportunities to its members.

The federal government needs to hire more than 270,000 workers for "mission-critical" jobs over the next three years, a surge prompted in part by the large number of baby-boomer federal workers reaching retirement age, according to the results of a government-wide survey being released this coming Thursday.

NBDPA (formerly Black Data Processing Associates) and LISTA (Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association) continue to execute their respective missions by providing information and direct access to new opportunities for  small businesses, technical support, and career development services to their members. Shown in the photo above (L-R) is Perry Carter, President, BDPA Washington; The Honorable Hilda L. Solis, U.S. Secretary of Labor; and Jose A. Márquez Leon, President and CEO of LISTA during LISTA's National Legislative Technology reception this past June. See story (cover and page 9) in your Summer 2009 edition
