the Classroom to the Board Room

Room #318, Baltimore Convention Center
Saturday, February 21, 2009 | 1-4 PM

Founded by Career Communications Group (CCG) in Baltimore, Maryland, BFTAW sponsors include BDPA, EMC2, IBM, Lockheed Martin and other supporting organizations. CCG publishes US Black Engineer and Information Technology magazine and sponsors the Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA) Conference, an annual gathering of some of America's brightest minds, from promising students to top industry professionals. This conference features excellent programs for elementary, middle high school students, outstanding and timely symposia for college students, and panel discussions on career development for professionals. Regional BDPA chapters also host related BEYA events and annually participate in BFTAW activities.   While the agenda for National Black Family Technology Awareness Week lists activities on specific days, your community or organization is encouraged to hold any technically-oriented activity at anytime within the month of February.

  • Business Empowerment Day
  • Family Technology Day
  • Tech Health Day
